Travel Diary: Grey Cliffs Ranch x Om On Yoga Retreat
Each morning we will wake in our own private post and beam style lodge to sweeping views of the surrounding mountain ranges and ranch land. Typically we’ll begin with tea or coffee and perhaps a small bite to nourish ourselves before we begin our morning yoga and meditation practice. Most of the time we stay indoors in the morning, as temperatures tend to be a bit cooler than we like to get outside.
After we’ve stretched and woken up the body through our yoga practice time, we will return to the dining room where a breakfast featuring local specialties and ingredients grown on ranch will be served.
Post breakfast, most days guests will be at their leisure to explore the property. We recommend a short hike, scheduling a guided 4 x 4 tour to the top of the property, lounging with a good book, or simply relaxing in the great room. Other add-on activities can be arranged, such as, a private in-room massage, fly fishing expedition on the Madison River, Clay Shooting, Mountain Biking, and more.
Included as apart of our retreat activities, we will take a full-day trip to Yellowstone to experience this majestic setting on horseback, try our hands at pottery in the pottery studio on property, and participate in a guided hike. Lunch will be offered at the main house, though typically picnic lunches can be prepared with a bit of notice for those venturing off property.
After a relaxing or adventurous day depending on your taste we will reconvene as we are indulged in a gourmet dinner, sharing in each other’s adventures and company. And of course a warm cup of tea before we retire in front of the stone fireplace is a great way to wrap up our day.
