Travel Diary: C Lazy U Dude Ranch x Om On Yoga Retreat
Each morning wake to the quiet and solitude of your cozy cabin, and as you step outside be invigorated by the fresh, crisp mountain air. As you begin your day will start with a warm and hearty cowboy/ cowgirl style breakfast in the main lodge, and will serve to fuel you for the day ahead. You may also want to try your hand at Cowboy coffee brewed fresh fireside.
Post breakfast, we’ll typically get our bodies moving with a led hike on the surrounding trails. As we explore the land we assure you that you will be in awe of the natural beauty, vistas, and incredible scenery. As you take in the scenery, we may pause mid-hike to roll out our mats and have our yoga practice at one of the overlooks, or some days depending on the weather we may return to the ranch for practice. Some days though will hit the trail first thing as we saddle up and ride.
After our morning movement and centering, you’ll have downtime to spend as you wish exploring what the ranch has to offer. You might decide to hike on your own (C Lazy U can provide a trail map), take in a bit of R & R, or schedule a treatment at the Spa.
We’ll then reconvene for a nourishing lunch as we prepare to head back outdoors for afternoon activities. Most days we will schedule a group activity such as horseback riding or mountain biking which is apart of the retreat, but don’t be afraid if you would like to venture from the group and take time for yourself. You might decide to partake in another activity such as: swimming, fishing, hiking, and tennis, which can be arranged with some advanced notice.
After an adventurous day of exploration and invigoration, we’ll wind down for the night as we indulge our taste buds in a four-course gourmet dinner followed by a tempting dessert. Continue to settle in for the night as we circle up around the campfire for s’mores, live enertainment, and fireside chats. A cup of tea will be all you need to drift off to sleep in your cozy cabin.
