Our yoga time at C Lazy U Dude Ranchwill be led by the professional and motivational,Elizabeth Fuquaof Denver, Colorado. Elizabeth is a yoga and fitness lover with a wide array of knowledge and experience.
Your Teacher: Elizabeth Fuqua
Elizabeth is certified as an E-RYT 200, is a Certified Personal Trainer, and a current student of Chinese Medicine at the Southwest Acupuncture College in Boulder, CO. A long time athlete, after years of playing physically demanding and intense sports, Elizabeth discovered yoga and used it to regain flexibility and resiliency. As her practice deepened though, she found that the emotional spiritual benefits of a regular yoga practice were as significant as the physical asana itself, and she has continued on a continuous path of study.
Elizabeth’s teaching is a direct approach to body movement that offers subtle refinements for student’s to connect with their bodies and minds. Her classes focus on alignment and mental release allow students to awaken and let go. Expect an energetic sequence of postures that open the body and release tension from our list of daily activities. Feel free to offer your suggestions on what areas you’d like us to customize so you get the most out of your time on the mat. And please remember that we want you to leave feeling refreshed and rejuvenated so tuning into what your body needs in the moment will get you the balance you desire.
Our Studio for the Week: The Great Outdoors
All practices will be held on the ranch. Many of our practices may take place mid-hike as we pause amidst the incredible flora and fauna to take in the natural setting. We also have planned a couple of practices at the Woodsie Overlook that offers a dramatic backdrop of the Colorado River and the Continental Divide beyond. Be prepared to have your breath taken away mid-downdog.
Lastly, please ensure to have your ownyoga mat in tow. We will unfortunately not have yoga mats provided. And that being said a thicker mat that can go outdoors and offer some extra cushion will be helpful.
