The Ultimate Guide to Wellness in Montana

If you are joining us on our annual Montana Yoga retreat this fall, or are even thinking about going solo, we have a few spots you MUST hit while you are in Big Sky Country.

Montana is a great place to be to focus on your overall wellness and we are excited to help show you around.

Hiking:

Hiking is a great exercise for your overall body and mind, and there is plenty to be done in Montana.

Cinnamon Mountain Lookout: Registered as a National Historic Lookout, this hike offers some of the most stunning views in the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem. It’s a challenging hike with quite a few switchbacks, but the reward is more than worth it!

Beehive Basin: At the end of this steep 3.3 mile trail is Beehive Basin, a glacial cirque featuring a beautiful lake and amazing views of Lone Peak. If you’re there in the spring or summer, you’ll see some of the prettiest wildflowers in the West.

Eating:

Nourishing your body not only helps fuel all of your wellness activities, but it also helps to improve your overall mind, body and soul on a wellness retreat.

Hungry Moose: Part deli, part upscale convenience store, Hungry Moose has one of the best espresso bars in Bozeman. Stop in for a breakfast burrito to get your day started right.

Lotus Pad: You might think you can’t get delicious, authentic Thai food in the mountains, but you’d be wrong. Lotus Pad puts an emphasis on organic and local ingredients wherever they’re available. Don’t miss the Asian nachos.

PLONK Wine: Unwind after a day of adventuring and exploring with one of PLONK’s craft cocktails. There are plenty of tasty options on the menu for plant-based folks and omnivores alike!

Shopping:

Trust us, retail therapy is a thing, and Montana has plenty of places to visit for trinkets of all kinds.

Dari Rasa Trunk Show: If you left your favorite crystals or essential oils at home, Dari Rasa has you covered. They also feature jewelry, pendulums, and so many other things that are good for the spirit.

Big Sky Farmers Market: From June to September, local farmers and artisans sell their very best at the Big Sky Town Center. While you’re there, check out the shops and restaurants in the town center.

Yoga:

If you are not joining us on our Montana retreat, we are happy to help you find other great places to get your flow on.

Ekam Yoga: It’s always good to know where you can get a little bit of zen. This is the best place to bliss out in Bozeman if you are not joining us on our Yoga retreat this fall.

Exploring:

Getting fresh air helps to clear the mind and relax the body, so we highly recommend exploring some of the incredible places of beauty that Montana has to offer.

9. Yellowstone National Park: There’s more to Yellowstone than you can fit into one trip, but exploring the Montana section is a good place to start. If you’re in or near Bozeman, you can’t miss it.

10. Glacier National Park: On the other side of the state, Glacier is home to some of the most gorgeous views in the country. Going-To-The-Sun Road is an absolute can’t-miss.

Montana is an incredible place to refocus and unwind. While there is more to do than we can even begin to name, we hope you will join us this September as we head out to the mountains of Montana. You can learn more on our website if the mountains are calling your name!
