Los Poblanos Historic Inn and Organic Farm: A Naturalist’s Paradise
Located in the lush North Valley of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Los Poblanos Historic Inn and Organic Farm is just outside of the vibrant downtown Albuquerque. It’s proximity to town, being just 20 minutes, allows guests the convenience to a major airport, and a lively historic old town district with traditional pueblo buildings and architecture. There are many locally owned cafes, shops, and galleries to explore, and Los Poblanos is connected by both a bus route and bike river trail to all of the action.
The North Valley is a lush green valley that runs alongside the famous Rio Grande River, and as such, is home to many farms and vineyards. Exploring the local area makes for a great day trip option, and this can be done by car or bike. The Rio Grande River Trail is accessed just minutes from Los Poblanos and from there guests can ride for miles and stop at well known points of interest along the way.
That being said, the farm’s focal feature is the incredible landscape set along the Rio Grande River with 25 acres of lavender fields and stunning gardens. This landscape offers the most stunning environment to connect to the land, and any naturalist/ nature lover will be right at home.
And if that’s not enough, perhaps the pinnacle of anybody’s stay will be a lavender exploration. The fields deposit that sweet smell all throughout the property and sprigs of lavender can be found on your pillow and in your margarita at Campo. While on retreat, retreaters will have the opportunity to experience this incredible plant first hand, by learning about the organic lavender artisan products, and taking part in both the distillation and handcraft production process.
The vibe here in the North Valley is both natural and relaxing, and it’s just the perfect spot for a Yoga + Wellness Retreatin the Southwest US. We hope you’ll join us as we venture there this spring for a long weekend of Yoga, Wellness, Good Food and Good Peeps!
