A native of Richmond, VA began her journey into the study of movement as a dancer immersing herself in the world of modern dance from a young age. She graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University with a BFA in Dance and Choreography and danced professionally in both Richmond and Washington DC. Laura Grace found yoga in college as a way to realign an overworked dancers body and to find a sense of steadiness through the chaos of the dance world. She completed the Anusara Immersion in 2010 at Willow Street Yoga Center in Washington, DC and earned her 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Certification in 2015 through Om Yoga with esteemed teacher Cyndi Lee. She received her prenatal Bec Conant of Om Births, LLC in 2016. Laura Grace is grateful to have had the opportunity to study with many incredible yoga and philosophy teachers including Douglas Brooks, Sianna Sherman, John Friend, Christina Sell and Todd Norian. Laura Grace is also a certified Barre Body Instructor, Pilates Mat Instructor and Kids Yoga Teacher.
Laura Grace feels blessed to be able to bring movement into others lives. Her passion for movement, alignment and creating a positive outlook in others about their bodies drives her to teach. She encourages her students to approach the mat as their most authentic self. Through her teaching she hopes to create a safe space for students to move with deep joy and a greater understanding of themselves and the community around them.
