St. Mary’s Glacier – Located about one hour west of Denver near Idaho Springs, St. Mary’s Glacier is a quick, but steep, 1.5 mile round trip hike to Rocky Mountain views, stunning lake and glacier visible year round.
Rattlesnake Gulch Trail – Ten minutes from Boulder in the Eldorado Canyon, this 3.4 mile loop will provide breathtaking views of the canyon and climbers. After your hike, take a dip in Eldorado Swimming Pool, a natural artesian springs pool at the base of the mountain.
Great Sand Dunes National Park – About 4 hours south of Denver, the Great Sand Dunes National Park is by far the most breathtaking location I have visited in Colorado. Hike miles of dune with the Rockies as a backdrop.
